Lees, IEG do not agree

X-rated vid still stolen, violation

Breaking their silence in order to clarify an ambiguous end to their legal action against Internet Entertainment Group, a World Wide Web-based adult entertainment concern, Pamela Anderson Lee and Tommy Lee stated that they have no relationship whatsoever with IEG and continue to regard any copy anywhere of the X-rated videotape that features their sexual relations as stolen property.

Contrary to reports in Daily Variety (Daily Variety, Dec. 3) and elsewhere that a de facto license to distribute the notorious video was granted to IEG by the Lees, the couple said, in fact, that they have not issued a license to anyone, nor have they consented to its distribution anywhere. Any relationship, actual or implied, between the Lees and IEG is erroneous, they said.

“Although we firmly believe that our rights have been violated, and although we have obtained court orders against others who were exploiting the tape,” the couple stated, “we reached a point where the harmful effects of this litigation outweighed any benefit to us.”
