Kushner-Locke profits fall on little fare

Kushner-Locke Co. finished the second quarter in the black despite an absence of new feature films and only two network TV episodes, the company reported Friday.

For the quarter ended March 31, the Los Angeles-based producer and distributor’s profits fell to $28,000, compared with $128,000 for the same period a year earlier.

Kushner-Locke’s second-quarter revenue dropped to $11.7 million, 12% lower than the $13.2 million reported for the same period in 1996.
