The King brothers have spoken — Camelot is no more.
King World Prods. has changed the name of its barter advertising sales wing, Camelot Entertainment Sales, to King World Media Sales in an effort to better identify the division with its parent company.
The sales arm, founded in 1984, was so named as a pun implying the “home of Kings.” King World, distributor of syndie powerhouses “Oprah Winfrey,” “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!,” is headed by brothers Roger and Michael King.
In other King World news, the company has promoted two of its veteran sales execs. Randy Hanson has been bumped from veepee to senior VP of western sales; Mike Stornello has moved from VP of central division to VP of Midwest sales.
