EMI ups Anderson to sr. VP

LONDON — Brit music major EMI has appointed James Anderson senior VP of EMI Recorded Music, with responsibility for the division’s IT activities.

Anderson joins EMI from management and technology consultancy Accenture, where he headed the firm’s European and Latin American media and entertainment operations.

EMI said Anderson would be charged with re-designing EMI Recorded Music’s business practises and systems internationally.

Alain Levy, chairman and CEO of EMI Recorded Music, said Anderson’s “appointment further increases the calibre of our management team and confirms our commitment to harnessing the power of technology to improve the way EMI goes about its business now and in the future.”
