Albert Brooks fans packed the theater on the Paramount Pictures lot Friday night for the premiere of the filmmaker’s latest comedy, “Mother,” which bows Christmas Day.

Afterward, Christmas lights set the mood for the party. Attending the soiree were Par’s chairman, Sherry Lansing; Viacom Entertainment Group chairman Jonathan Dolgen; Par production president John Goldwyn; marketing head Arthur Cohen; distribution head Wayne Lewellen; and various celebrities including “Mother” co-star Rob Morrow, Richard Dreyfuss, Garry Shandling, Carol Alt and Elizabeth Berkley. Also on hand were Brooks’ manager and “Mother” producer Herb Nanas, co-producer (and Scott Rudin Prods. president) Adam Schroeder, Jeff Wald, ICM’s Jim Wiatt and Elizabeth Reiger as well as Brooks’ ICM agent, Toni Howard.

Rounding out the group were the “Mother” stars Debbie Reynolds and Brooks … with, of course, their mothers.
