MEXICO CITY – ESPN Intl. has acquired rights to live coverage of Mexico’s Pacific League and the Caribbean World Series baseball championships for 1997. The games will beef up the slate of ESPN Dos, a signal targeting Mexico and Central America that launched in September. ESPN Intl. programming VP Minard Hamilton said the cabler would announce further local programming acquisitions in the near future.
