Kilner’s at ‘Home’ with role in comedy sequel

Kevin Kilner, who starred in the CBS sitcom “Almost Perfect” last season, is set to star in Fox’s “Home Alone 3.” Kilner will play Jack Pruitt, the patriarch of a family bedeviled by pesky neighbors in the upcoming installment of the John Hughes’ blockbuster franchise.

Raja Gosnell is making his studio directing debut on the pic after editing hit comedies like “Home Alone,” “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” and “Mrs. Doubtfire.” Hughes, who wrote the script, is producing along with his partner in Great Oaks Entertainment , Ricardo Mestres.

Kilner joins a cast that includes 7-year-old Alex D. Linz, who appears in Fox 2000’s “One Fine Day.”

“Home Alone 3” is earmarked for a summer release after shooting this winter in Chicago. Kilner’s deal was negotiated by Agency for the Performing Arts’ Sheila Robinson as well as Edwards-Curtan Management. His attorney is Ira Schreck of Frankfurt, Garbus, Klein and Selz.
