Worldvision has given its half-hour courtroom reality strip “Judge Judy” a firm go for a second season.
Stations in 12% of the country have renewed the series for year two, and 27 stations have upgraded the show, with 19 adding double runs. Markets where the show was upgraded include Miami, Cincinnati; Green Bay, Wisc.; Rockford, Ill., and West Palm Beach, Fla.
Separately, Worldvision has cleared gameshow “Pictionary” in five markets covering less than 4% of the country.
The show, which is being offered for cash plus barter, has been sold to NBC affiliate KXAS Dallas, ABC affil KGTV San Diego, NBC affil WPXI Pittsburgh, Fox affil WCCB Charlotte and CBS affil KLAS Las Vegas. No new strips for fall 1997 have announced clearances in the top three markets.
