The show has now been cleared in all the top 10 markets and in 15 of the top 20. New stations include KGO San Francisco, WKCF Orlando, WTXX Hartford and WJZY Charlotte. The weekly show, co-hosted by Steve White, could go daily in January 1998.
Meanwhile, Tribune Entertainment’s “Geraldo” has been upgraded in a few more markets. In Miami, where it airs at 10 a.m., “Geraldo” will replace “Day & Date” at 4 p.m. on the CBS-owned WFOR. The CBS affiliate KSTW in Seattle has also moved the show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., replacing “Scoop,” which has been canceled.
