Norville can’t spark ‘Inside’

Deborah Norville’s heavily promoted debut in the anchor chair of “Inside Edition” failed to ignite national ratings for the series.

During the week of March 5, the King World show remained flat from the previous week at a 6.4, while Paramount’s “Hard Copy” (6.7) beat it for the first time since the week of Jan. 16.

There was an encouraging bit of ratings news for the former co-host of NBC’s “Today” show, however. On March 23, “Inside” hit a season-high mark of 10.2/16 in the nation’s largest market, New York.
