Judge Lance Ito may have a career waiting as a station programmer.
Ito’s already getting some practice. KCBS had to change its daytime schedule less than two weeks ago to accommodate the judge. Now, following Ito’s decision to modify the court hours in the O.J . Simpson murder case, the O& O is once again revising its sked.
Beginning March 6, the station will reinstate its half-hour noon news and the syndicated 3 p.m. talkshow “Geraldo.”
Brad Goode has been assigned as Tritia Toyota’s co-anchor on the noon newscast. He replaces Linda Alvarez, who was recently named weekend co-anchor.
KCBS will continue to air an hour trial special each day at 2 p.m. with Ann Martin and Michael Tuck.
Under Ito’s new schedule, there will be no trial coverage on Fridays, allowing the station to carry two episodes of the syndicated gameshow “Family Feud” at 2 p.m. once a week. Those shows normally air weekdays at 9 a.m.
