Fox To FCC: Nix Diller Deposition

Fox Television has asked the FCC to reject the NAACP’s request for depositions of Barry Diller and a group of other former and current Fox execs as part of the ongoing probe into Fox’s alleged illegal foreign ownership.

Fox, in a filing last week at the FCC, said Diller “was not involved in designing the Fox Television Stations ownership structure” during his tenure at the weblet. Moreover, Fox claimed Diller “played strictly an operational and oversight role with respect to the Fox-owned station group” and was “never in a control position.”
