Allbrigton Has Designs On CBS Affiliate WCFT

Allbritton Communications unveiled plans last week to buy CBS affiliate WCFT Tuscaloosa, Ala., from Federal Broadcasting for $20 million.

D.C.-based Allbritton also said it intends to provide programming via a local marketing agreement to Fant Broadcasting-owned WNAL Gadsden, Ala. The switch to ABC affiliation is not expected until sometime in the fall of’ 96.
