Nan Tucker McEvoy, the former chairwoman of the parent company of the San Francisco Chronicle and Bay Area NBC affiliate KRON-TV, has filed suit to restore herself to the board of directors of Chronicle Publishing Co. She is also seeking to compel a new election for the post of chairman.

In a suit filed in San Francisco superior court, McEvoy, 75, alleges Chronicle’s board illegally disqualified directors over the age of 72 in a special meeting.
