NATHAN SHAPIRO

Nathan Shapiro, father of “Rescue 911” executive producer Arnold Shapiro, died Aug. 4 of natural causes at his home in West Los Angeles. He was 90. Shapiro was active in numerous organizations including the Anti-Defamation League, the B’Nai B’rith, the Jewish Home for the Aged in Reseda, the Shriners and the Masons.

In addition to his son, Shapiro is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in Shapiro’s name to the Palm Springs Auxiliary of the Jewish Home for the Aged, C/O Mr. Sig Windenbaum, 453 Paseo Perdido, Cathedral City, CA 92234.
