David Silber, a Broadway actor and son of Boston U. president John Silber, died Dec. 29 of AIDS complications. He was 41.
Silber appeared on Broadway with Rex Harrison, Claudette Colbert and Lynn Redgrave in “Aren’t We All” and with Peter O’Toole in “Pygmalion.” He also acted in many regional and repertory theater productions.
He recently was seen in a production of “A Christmas Carol” for PBS at Ford’s Theater in Washington.
Silber, who earned a bachelor’s degree in theater from BU, worked for his father’s unsuccessful campaign for governor in 1990.
