Paybox Scores Women’s Basketball

Australia’s first pay television service, the recently launched Galaxy TV’s Premier Sports Network, has nabbed pay rights for the West Coast Women’s National Basketball League. It will telecast those games after same-day telecasts of U.S. NBA games.

WNBL will continue to get first run on free-to-air pubcaster the Australian Broadcasting Corp. and Galaxy is negotiating to share prod’n costs with ABC on WNBL games.
