Grundy To Sell 40% Of His Firm

International TV producer/distribber Reg Grundy plans to sell about 40% of his firm in a stock offering to raise near $120 mil.

Grundy Worldwide Ltd. is expected to file a prospectus with the SEC within days giving details of the offering, which will value Grundy Worldwide at more than $300 million.

Based in Australia, Grundy is best known in Europe and Asia for the production and distribution of gameshows like “Sale of the Century” as well as soaps like “Neighbors” and drama series like “Prisoner – Cell Block H.” While both “Sale of the Century” and “Prisoner” were seen in the U.S., Grundy has had a low profile in the U.S. market in recent years.

The public offering, being made both in the U.S. and in Australia, follows more than a year of uncertainty about the company’s future.
