Fox Angling For A Stake In TCC

Rupert Murdoch’s Fox network is negotiating to take a substantial minority stake in TCC, the British satellite TV service formerly known as the Children’s Channel.

TCC’s parent company, Starstream, is wholly owned by Flextech, which is controlled by U.S. cable giant Tele-Communications Inc.

Flextech managing director Brent Harmon confirmed that he is in exclusive negotiations with Fox, but would not comment on reports that Fox will pay about $50 million for a 49% stake in TCC.
