Chris Farley is likely to join hands with Imagine Entertainment on the company’s long-in-the-works comedy “The Gelfin” for Universal Pictures. Barry Bloustein and David Sheffield recently completed a rewrite of their script about a photographer who runs into a guy who becomes his lucky charm. While Daniel Stern was at one time attached to direct and star, sources said the project has caught Farley’s eye.

Farley and his “Tommy Boy” co-star David Spade will start in the next couple of weeks on “Black Sheep” for Paramount Pictures and helmer Penelope Spheeris before they return to “Saturday Night Live.”
