BMG Interactive Entertainment, a division of Music giant BMG Australia, and California-based publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment Electronic Arts (EA), have sealed a deal Down Under for BMG to market and distribute EA’s interactive CD-ROM games titles into music retail outlets.

‘Command’ performance

BMG will bring to Oz hit EA titles such as “Commander 111” – which features more than three hours of action video footage starring an ensemble Hollywood cast, including Mark Hamill (“Star Wars”), Malcolm McDowell (“A Clockwork Orange”) and John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”) – while its range of music CD-ROMs will find their way into computer games stores.

This range includes David Bowie’s “Jump” and the Residents’ “Gingerbread Man.”

BMG is a division of Bertelsmann AG, the $11 billion a year global media enterprise.
