Producers of Broadway’s “Grease” revival, who have tapped singer Jon Secada to join the cast, might take note of the special efforts the producers of “Kiss of the Spider Woman” have taken to court the largely untapped Hispanic market since Maria Conchita Alonso has replaced Vanessa Williams. The “Kiss” team has hired a Spanish-speaking press agent, and Alonso has done a lot of press in the Hispanic community, including bilingual TV ads. A spokeswoman said the audience is about half Hispanic, and the management has even posted bilingual signs in the lobby. Alonso’s gross of about $300,000 per week is less than Williams’ $400,000… Last week’s item about Rob Weiss and his next project, “Milk Bar,” gave a – false impression that “American Psycho” was dead. According to a rep for producer Ed Pressman, the project is alive and well, and will be Weiss’ follow-up film. Pressman produces both.
