‘Race’ nabs crix’ nod

Reggie Cheong-Leen ‘s “The Nanjing Race” took the American Theater Critics Assn. top play nod in the 1995 New Play Awards, announced at the 19th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays.

The play, presented at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ., is the cross-cultural drama of a gay Japanese-American businessman in China.

Also honored with new play awards were Lisa Loomer’s “The Waiting Room” and Charles Varon’s “Rush Limbaugh in Night School.”
