HATS ALL, FOLKS

The ninth annual Easter Bonnet Competition on April 11 raised $1,112,639 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and the winning company was “Sunset Boulevard,” which brought in $200,000. Actually, that gross was inflated – no kidding: The real take was $147,235, but Glenn Close announced that the Really Useful Co. had a greed to chip in enough to make it an even two hundred.

More BC/EF A news: Congratulations to Jujamcyn’s Paul Libin, who has taken over for Marty Bell as president of the organization, while Bell is in Toronto with Garth Drabinsky.

And more honcho news: A belated congratulations to former American Conservatory Theater managing director John Sullivan, who in July will replace Peter Zeisler as head of the Theater Communications Group, the umbrella organization for the nation’s resident theaters . Expect Adrian Hall at the convocation in July.
