Snipes In For $10 Million Score

Wesley Snipes has nailed down a $10 million deal to star in Joel Silver’s actioner “Sandblast” at Warner Bros. Snipes will star as a former land-mine clearance specialist working for a group of U.S. commandos in the desert after the Persian Gulf War. The film, which goes before the cameras in March, will be shot in locations in the Middle East.

The project originally had been set aside for Eddie Murphy, who exited the actioner due to scheduling conflicts.
