Bonnie Richardson has been promoted to the post of vice president, trade and federal affairs, for the Motion Picture Assn. of America.

Richardson, who’s served as MPAA’s director of federal affairs since October 1993, will handle matters involving independent and executive branch agencies in her new position. She will also continue to coordinate MPAA’s international trade activities. Richardson reports to Fritz Attaway, senior VP for government relations.
