Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin are in final negotiations to star in MGM’s action comedy “Fled” with Kevin Hooks (“Passenger 57”) at the helm, sources said.

The project, which is being produced by Frank Mancuso Jr., is about two escaped convicts on the lam who are both pursuing a nest egg one of them left behind while trying to dodge local authorities, the FBI and the mob.

“Fled” is expected to go before the cameras in November for a summer 1996 run.

“Fled” is the second project Mancuso Jr. has done through the studio, following “Species.”
