The off-net drama series “In the Heat of the Night” will be sold for cash under a multiyear license term beginning in September 1995, MGM Domestic TV Distribution announced. The series, now in its second year in syndication on a barter basis, has been renewed in more than 72% of the country for 1994.

Entertainment Data Inc., which provides overnight box office grosses and analytical data to the U.S. and U.K., will expand its services to Germany. EDI has opened offices in Munich and named Joseph Fuhrmann g.m.

There will be a preview of the “Sexual Orientation in the Workplace” industry seminars at the Jan. 25 membership meeting of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation/Los Angeles. The seminars, developed by GLAAD/LA and Hollywood Supports, are intended to help companies establish productive work environments.
