Talkshow producer Multimedia Entertainment has confirmed that it will roll out a half-hour, latenight chat strip with KABC-AM host Dennis Prager at this month’s National Assn. of Television Program Executives confab.
The program is being offered on a barter basis, with the syndicator retaining three minutes for national sales and stations getting 3 1/2 minutes.
Multimedia could have an easier time than some in clearing “Dennis Prager” because of the leverage it has with stations thanks to the success of Rush Limbaugh, who also made the transition from radio to TV.
Unlike Limbaugh’s opinionated banter, Prager’s format is non-political. Prager will have guests and audience participants involved in each issues-oriented show.
