Arthel Neville, who anchors E! Entertainment TV’s “Extreme Close-Up,” has been named host of Warner Bros.’ “Entertainment News Television.”
“Entertainment News TV” exec producer David Nuell, who will name a co-host shortly for the firstrun strip set to premiere in the fall, said Neville’s background as a reporter, host, interviewer and actress qualified her for the high-profile syndicated series.
The daughter of Neville Bros. keyboardist Art Neville has hosted the half-hour E! interview show since June 1991.
Neville was an anchor, reporter, producer and writer at WVUE-TV in New Orleans and a host/correspondent of nationally syndicated TV travel mag “Travel & Adventure,” based in Chicago.
She also was anchor-reporter at KHOU in Houston and WWL in New Orleans.
As an actress, she appeared in the telepix “Love & Curses,””With Intent to Kill” and “Double Crossed” and the daytime dramas “All My Children” and “Days of Our Lives.” She also had parts on “Dallas” and “Saturday Night Live.”
