Fox Broadcasting Co. has scheduled its longform version of the Menendez case, “Honor Thy Father and Mother: The Story of the Menendez Murders,” for April 18 in the “Fox Night at the Movies” slot.

Fox has delayed by one week “Hostage for a Day,” an action-comedy directed by the late John Candy and starring George Wendt, to make room for the Saban Entertainment production.

CBS has yet to announce a date for its four-hour version of the Menendez story, from producer Zev Braun and TriStar TV. The Eye web is said to be looking at the May sweeps, though it’s said that certain scenes had to be rewritten and reshot when the much-publicized case ended in a mistrial.

Attorneys for the Menendez brothers have been critical of both networks for planning to go ahead and air their projects despite the fact that the case will be retried. The Fox movie stars Jill Clayburgh, James Farentino, Billy Warlock and David Beron.
