Fox Broadcasting Co. has added another affiliate in the wake of its National Football League deal, signing UHF independent KDF-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas, effective April 10.
The station cited the football rights, which include the Dallas Cowboys, in making the deal. Fox has also added stations in Northern California and Macon, Ga., since the football acquisition, all adjacent to National Football Conference-franchise cities.
KDF is owned by Paloma Broadcasting Group, which also owns the market’s Spanish-language Telemundo station, KAJA. Fox’s station lineup has now grown to 144 outlets, reaching 93% of the U.S., with additional coverage via cable systems.
