Actor Charles Drake died Saturday at his home in East Lyme, Conn., after a lengthy illness. He was 77.
During his career of more than 40 years, Drake appeared with many of the top leading men and women of the day, including Gary Cooper, Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. He had starring roles on “Studio One,””Playhouse 90” and “Robert Montgomery Presents.”
He is survived by two daughters and a grandson.
