Robert Moore has been upped to senior veepee of planning and control for Walt Disney Pictures & TV.
Moving up from veep of planning and analysis, Moore will continue to oversee worldwide short- and longterm planning, film finance administration, capital budgeting and planning and all accounting and control operations.
He will report to Chris McGurk, exec veepee and CFO of Walt Disney Studios.
Moore was a key player in Disney’s acquisition of Miramax Films and in the negotiation of the five-year agreement between hockey team the Mighty Ducks and basic cable’s Prime Ticket.
He was also central in the structuring and administration of the company’s feature film financing efforts, including the most recent $ 400 million senior participating notes.
