Jun gets Loeb Asian beat

In a move to upgrade its East Asian coverage, Loeb and Loeb law firm has hired Joyce S. Jun to handle legal matters for the firm’s Pacific Rim clients.

Jun, most recently with Cooper Epstein and Hurewitz, will work from the Century City offices.

She will rep some of the leading entertainment companies and ad agencies in Japan and Korea, including Hakuhodo Inc., Soto Group, Araki Office, SKC Ltd. and IMI.

Jun is currently arranging financing and distribution for two high-profile Japanese animated projects: “The Diary of Anne Frank” as a feature and “Goal,” a TV series about a Japanese teenager who grows up in Brazil playing soccer with Pele. Both are targeted for release in the U.S. in 1994 or 1995.

“We are extremely pleased that Joyce decided to join Loeb and Loeb,” said John Frankenheimer, entertainment department co-chairman. “We view the Pacific Rim as a major area of expansion for our entertainment department in the coming years.”
