In retirement-related staff changes, Walt Disney World upped Bruce Laval to executive VP of Walt Disney World theme parks, replacing Bob Matheison; Linda Warren to senior VP, Epcot, with responsibility for theme park program development; and Greg Emmer to VP, Magic Kingdom, replacing retiring Bill Sullivan. Randy Garfield, currently president of Walt Disney Travel Co., will take on the additional role as senior VP for the Walt Disney World sales division.

Veronica Pollard has been promoted to VP, corporate public relations, at CapCities/ABC, having been director, corporate communications. Pollard joined the network as a press rep in 1979.

Jean Wyman has been upped to director, domestic sales and retail merchandising, for MCA/Universal Merchandising. Wyman will be responsible for licensing the rights of the studio’s film, television and third-party properties in the apparel and soft-goods categories.
