FanFest expects big quake donation

FanFest ’94, which is being called country music’s largest fan-driven event, expects to make a donation of more than $ 1 million to L.A. earthquake relief, according to Zachary Taylor, chairman of the board of FanFest Inc.

Sawyer Brown, Dwight Yoakam, Tracy Lawrence and Trisha Yearwood have signed on to appear at the event, May 4-7 at the L.A. County Fairgrounds.

“Being residents of this area, we are all acutely aware of the problems caused by the recent devastation,” said Bob Alexander, president of FanFest ’94. “We all felt that the situation warranted taking the profits from ticket sales and putting them back into the community’s needs.”
