A street corner in Trenton, N.J., the hometown of Ernie Kovacs, will be dedicated to the late comic Friday, marking what would have been his 75th birthday. A duplicate of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Hall of Fame bronze bust of Kovacs will be unveiled and put on permanent display outside the state’s public TV station, the New Jersey Network.

Marie Osmond will star in a national touring production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music,” which gets under way Feb. 1 at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. This tour will be directed by James Hammerstein, son of Oscar Hammerstein II. Laurence Guittard will star opposite Osmond in the role of Captain Von Trapp.
