Summer kickoff planned for ‘F’ball’

“Tank McNamara” cartoonist Jeff Millar has written a feature screenplay, “F’ball,” which is skedded to start production this summer, it was announced Friday.

“F’ball,” about a fictional Texas high school rivalry, has been acquired by director Gary Chason and producers Fred Kuehnert and Tony Browning.

Pending casting, it will be sold as a negative pickup to domestic distributors, Kuehnert said. Chason, Kuehnert and Browning acquired the property under their joint venture Skyline Partners.

A $ 6 million production is being planned in Texas for the summer. Financiers are Houston-based investors Grant Guthrie, president of Texas Video & Post, and Dennis Ranzau, a local real estate developer.
