CBS will air skater Nancy Kerrigan’s return to the ice as a one-hour primetime special Feb. 5, a week before the web begins its coverage of the Winter Olympics. “Nancy Kerrigan & Friends” will air at 9 p.m., following “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”

KTLA anchor Hal Fishman will receive the Society of Professional Journalists’ outstanding broadcast journalism award today at its 18th annual dinner. Fishman joined the station 29 years ago and has been anchoring “News at 10” since 1975. L.A. Times Washington bureau chief Jack Nelson will receive the org’s print award.

Kodak’s motion picture and TV imaging division will showcase its Cineon digital film system, a new Cineon 35mm film scanner, version 2.2 of the Cineon software and the latest film and photo CD technology for broadcasters at the National Assn. of Broadcasters confab March 21-24 in Las Vegas. Kodak also will demonstrate the capabilities of the BTS FLH 1000 HD telecine by showing images that were originated on Eastman motion picture film and transferred to digital using the telecine.
