Rourke aims at ‘Bullet’

Mickey Rourke returns in the tough-guy role in Brit helmer Julien Temple’s “Bullet,” an actioner co-starring Marky Mark, Cathy Moriarty and Ted Levine, which announced production of the flick at AFM Friday.

No distrib yet

Currently without a domestic or overseas distribber, the pic is about an ex-con whose release from prison turns disastrous when he is unable to stick to the straight and narrow and instead returns to dealing drugs and dodging bullets.

The pic is slated to go before the cameras in May.

Written by Bruce Louis Rubinstein, “Bullet” is produced by John Flock, prexy of the eponymous indie outfit. Among titles with which he has been involved on the production side are “Storyville,””Gunmen,””Arctic Blue” and “Roadflower.”
