Producers Mace Neufeld and Bob Rehme will receive the Motion Picture Showmanship Award at the 31st annual Publicists Guild of America’s awards luncheon March 18 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“The producers are being recognized for their extraordinary showmanship as successful filmmakers in Hollywood,” said Henri Bollinger, awards committee chairman.
The team was also hailed for “their flare for showmanship in promoting” (their) Paramount Pictures releases, “Patriot Games” and “The Hunt For Red October,” as well as the Turner Films epic “Gettysburg.”
Bollinger also stressed that the team’s close working relationships with publicists was also considered when making the award selection.
Upcoming releases from the duo include “Beverly Hills Cop 3,” which just wrapped filming, and “Clear and Present Danger” based on the Tom Clancy book. Both films are scheduled to be released this summer.
