Permit now, pay later

The Economic Development Corp., which administers the Los Angeles County film permits, is now allowing producers to charge film permit fees to their Visa or Mastercard.

The service, which began this week, gives production companies the convenience of obtaining a permit by phone or fax and charging it.

“We believe we’re the first film commission to institute this kind of service ,” noted Stephanie Hershey Liner, director of the L.A. County Film Office.

The county’s fax number is (213) 463-0613.
