‘Off’ on for A&M, Propaganda

A&M Films, in association with Propaganda Films, has acquired the rights to Takashi Bufford’s drama “Set It Off,” a story described as an inner city “Thelma & Louise.”

Bufford is best known for writing the comedy “House Party 3.” Sources describe “Set It Off” as a drama that revolves around the problems faced by women living in the inner city.

The writer is also currently working on a comedy for Universal and producer Sean Daniel titled “The Lottery.”

Bufford is repped by agent Gary Pearl at Paradigm and manager Spencer Baumgarten.
