Dennis Hopper, Griffin Dunne and Illeana Douglas have been set to star in the dark comedy “Search and Destroy,” to be directed by artist David Salle, making his directorial debut.
The film, which will be produced by Dan Lupovitz, Ruth Charny and Elle Cohn and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, will also feature Christopher Walken, John Turturro, Ethan Hawke and Rosanna Arquette. Principal photography begins Feb. 28 in and around New York City.
Screenwriter Michael Almareyda (“Twister”) has adapted Pulitzer Prize nominee Howard Korder’s play about a businessman on the run from the IRS. Dunne will re-create the role he originated in the Circle on the Square production.
