Film Office, ARP in vid pact

Major French video distributor Film Office has acquired vid rights to indie distribbery ARP’s catalog, including 1993 Cannes Palme D’Or winner “Farewell My Concubine.”

Film Office, which made headlines recently by signing an output deal with the Summit Group for nine films from Cinergi (including Sylvester Stallone starrer “Judge Dredd”), has video distribution rights on ARP pix for seven years.

The ARP catalog includes a number of award-winning productions. Apart from “Farewell My Concubine,” Film Office has Venice Golden Lion winner of 1992 “The Story of Qiu Ju,” 1991 Silver Lion winner “Raise the Red Lantern” and 1993 Cannes Jury Prize winner “The Puppet Master.”
