Scripter/director Quentin Tarantino will moderate “An Evening With John Waters” Tuesday at Laemmle’s Monica Theatre in Santa Monica. The cult fave will be on hand for a screening of his latest film, “Serial Mom,” which will be followed by a Q-and-A with the audience under auspices of the Independent Feature Project/West.

In an effort to help keep a positive spin on the videogame industry, the Video Software Dealers Assn. has recruited seven aficionados ranging from 10 to 25 for a panel on vidgame marketing. The seminar will be held at the first annual Videogame & New Technology Conference Sunday and Monday at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago.
