Stephanie Zimbalist, Shanna Reed and Kathleen Noone will star in “The Crimson Thread,” a new play by Mary Hanes that begins previews May 5 at Seven Angels Theater in Waterbury, Conn. Dan Lauria will direct and Peter Gatien, who recently was exec producer of the pic “A Bronx Tale,” produces along with Reed. It’s in for a three-week run.

Advanstar Expositions will present Showbiz Expo Europe Sept. 24-26 at the M.O.C. Exhibition Centre in Munich. Organizers expect about 100 exhibitors to take part.
