Dallas picks ‘Schindler’s’

Adding power to the steamroller, the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Assn. has picked “Schindler’s List” as best picture of 1993. The critics also picked Steven Spielberg as best director and Ralph Fiennes as best supporting actor.

Holly Hunter copped another best actress award for “The Piano” from the 30 -member group, and Anthony Hopkins was named best actor for “The Remains of the Day.” Supporting actress nod went to Rosie Perez for “Fearless.”

“Farewell My Concubine” was best foreign-language film.

“Last Action Hero” nabbed the dubious honor of worst picture of the year.

Remaining nine pix on the org’s 10-best list were, in descending order, “The Piano,””King of the Hill,””The Remains of the Day,””The Age of Innocence,””The Fugitive,””Philadelphia,””Farewell My Concubine,””The Joy Luck Club” and “Shadowlands.”
