Castle Hill buys ‘Bodies’

Castle Hill Prods. Inc. has acquired theatrical distribution rights to director Beth B’s adaptation of playwright Neal Bell’s “Two Small Bodies.”

It plans to release the Fred Ward/Suzy Amis starrer in March or April.

Skedded to play at the Sundance Film Festival, “Two Small Bodies” is a two-character piece about a police detective and a woman whose two small children have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. B said in a statement she was drawn to the piece by its “perverse sexuality and its thoughtful intelligence.”

Specialized film distributor Castle Hill has handled such theatrical releases as Orson Welles’ “Othello” and a retrospective of films from John Cassavetes.

Fox Lorber Home Video holds the video rights to the pic.
